CAT1 facial cleanser contains a 1% Cationic Hyaluronic Acid Complex, tackling the dryness and itching often experienced after cleansing. This technology allows the positively charged hyaluronic acid complex to bind firmly with the oppositely charged lipid layer of the skin’s stratum corneum. Even after cleansing, the hyaluronic acid will still be able to remain on skin’s surface, providing continuous moisture, making it a prime ingredient for hydration. The hyaluronic acid molecules contained in this complex has a low molecular weight, which enables efficient transdermal absorption, penetrating the skin to strengthen its barrier and repair damaged cells. The formula also includes jojoba oil, a composition akin to sebum, that keeps the skin soft and smooth
Gentle Cleansing Surfactant: Powerful Yet Moisturizing
The sulfate-free formula of CAT1 is soothing, non-foaming and utilizes gentle cleansing agents, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Commonly found in baby care formulas, these cleansing surfactants effectively removes skin impurities without compromising the skin's natural sebum membrane protection; it keeps the skin stable, healthy, and soft after cleansing.
Slightly Acidic
CAT1 facial cleanser is specifically formulated to be mildly acidic (pH 5-6), akin to the pH of the skin's natural sebum membrane, minimizing chances of irritation caused by pH imbalances.

Q1. Does more foam in facial cleansing products equal higher cleansing power?
It is a common misconception that facial cleansing products without foam would undermine its cleansing effect. However, the cleansing ability of a cleanser is not necessarily proportional to the amount of foam as that may be a result of foam dispensers or by adding excessive surfactant in the formula. Excessive cleansing power may not always be beneficial for the skin.
In fact, the key to formulating a gentle yet effective facial cleanser lies in selecting mild surfactants and using the principle of electrostatic repulsion to lift dirt from the skin. By precisely adjusting the proportions of various surfactant components in the formula, it is possible to enhance the mildness of the facial cleanser formula without compromising its cleansing power.
Q2. Can this formula be used for makeup removal?
CAT1 facial cleansing milk can be used to remove daily light makeup (high coverage and waterproof products may require the use of other makeup removal products). It is easy to apply with its smooth texture and suitable for all skin types, especially dry and sensitive skin.
HOW TO USE
Facial Cleansing Usage: 1 - 2 pumps
Instructions: Apply the cleansing milk to dry or slightly damp skin, gently massage in circular motions on the face for about 1 minute, then rinse thoroughly with water.
Makeup Removal Usage: 2 - 3 pumps
Instructions: Use on dry hands and dry face. Take a sufficient amount of cleansing milk and apply it to the skin. Gently massage in circular motions on the face until the makeup dissolves, then rinse thoroughly with water, and repeat these steps once. If you need to remove eye makeup, please use a separate eye makeup remover before using this cleansing milk
